Pets look for these blocks within 16 blocks of where they are (the searchRange setting). Right-click a bowl, trough, litter box or pee pad with an empty hand to see how full it is.
Bowls, troughs and the litter box give a comparator signal: bowls and troughs by how full they are, the litter box by how much waste is in it.
Every block drops itself even when you break it by hand; the tool only makes it quicker. The one exception is a used Pee Pad, which is thrown away.
Pets of different players can share the same blocks.
