|---|---|
| Needs | |
| Eats | From a Feed Trough; without one it grazes on grass (within 10 blocks). Never from pet bowls. |
| Drinks | From a Water Trough; without one, from a pond, river or lake (within 10 blocks). |
| Favourite kibble | None |
| Hand-feed with | Wheat, or Pet Kibble |
| Toilet | None: only cats, ocelots, dogs and foxes have a bladder need. |
| Sleeps | Lies down where it is (or on its Rest Spot). It doesn't use pet beds. |
| Plays | Chases a thrown Pet Ball and noses it around. |
| Can sit | No: on Stay it just stands still. |
| Petting | Sneak + use with an empty hand. It lifts its chin into your hand and turns its head. |
Eating & drinking
They eat wheat from the trough (or any other farm animal food).
A hay bale fills a Feed Trough (6 servings); its usual food, apples, or other farm animal food adds one serving each. Kibble doesn't go in troughs.
To eat, it walks up to the side of the trough and puts its head down over the rim, nibbling. Troughs placed side by side join into one long trough, so a whole herd can eat at once.
Sleeping
When it gets tired (or at night, if it's Idle) it lies down right where it is: the front legs fold first so it kneels, then the hindquarters drop, the way real cattle lie down. It gets up again rear end first.

Life as a pet
No special habits beyond eating, drinking and sleeping well. It enjoys being petted, brushed and having you around, and will chase a thrown Pet Ball.
Tips
- Goats jump about and ram in vanilla; a fenced pen around their troughs keeps them in their 12-block home.
- A hay bale fills a whole trough.
