Vanilla Pets

Horse

Horses eat from troughs or graze, lie down to sleep, and are groomed with the brush. Donkeys, mules, skeleton horses and zombie horses live the same way.

Becomes a petIf you tamed it the vanilla way it becomes your pet automatically. Otherwise use a Pet Collar on it (that tames it too).

PettingSneaking with an empty hand opens its inventory, as in vanilla. Use a Pet Brush to bond with it instead. Brushed, it lifts its head and swishes its tail.

Eating & drinking

Like all farm animals, horses use troughs, never pet bowls, and graze or drink from a pond when there's no trough nearby. To eat they reach their head down over the trough's rim.

A hay bale fills a Feed Trough (6 servings); its usual food, apples, or other farm animal food adds one serving each. Kibble doesn't go in troughs.

Sleeping

A tired horse lies down where it is: front legs first, then the hindquarters, with its tail laid out behind it. It gets up rear end first.
